Ms. Greene’s

CLASSROOM RULES

My classroom conduct rules can be summed up in one word…RESPECT.

Respect the others students’ ability and right to learn.

            Respect the property of others.

Respect each other (no derogatory comments).

            Respect the other person’s opinion.

            Respect my directions.

I expect you to:

be on time (sitting in your seat when the bell rings).

            bring your supplies.

turn in your homework on time.

leave fights and conflicts at the door.

            have a good attitude.

            do your best.

The type of disciplinary action will be given at my discretion to fit the offense and could be, but not limited to:

            15-45 minute detentions,

            written reports or assignments, or

            clean-up jobs.

You will have 3 days to complete your punishment; the 3 days include the day it was given.  If you fail to complete the punishment in 3 days it is doubled.  If you fail to complete the doubled punishment your parent(s)/guardian will be contacted.  Fines will be assessed if you are without your book cover or you have papers in your book at anytime during the semester.

You will be allowed one late daily assignment per semester at full credit (this does not apply to long-term assignment deadlines) if it is turned in before we test out of that subject matter or unit.

Other late assignments will be

            1 day late  = 75%

            2 days late = 50%

            3 days late =   0%

An assignment is considered late if not turned in when collected by the teacher.  If you are unable to turn in an assignment due to extenuating circumstances you must talk to me by the day the assignment is due, otherwise it will be considered late.  If you are absent, please check the website for assignments.

Grading is on a straight percentage scale.  Each assignment and test will be given a point value.  The number of points you receive will be divided by the number possible to give you your percent and letter grade.  I will follow the Alleman Grading Scale.
