MATHEMATICAL SCHOOL SUPPLY LIST: Ms. E. Thompson

Alleman Catholic High School 2008/2009

Welcome to Alleman!  The following list is a collection of the materials you either need to bring to class on a daily basis, or the supplies you need to keep on hand at home to successfully complete your assignments each night.  It is your responsibility to keep your supplies stocked and available for your use as needed throughout the school year.  Some of these supplies may also be purchased as needed at the Alleman bookstore and from Ms. E. Thompson, room 302.

Needed daily in class:  In addition to a smile, open attitude, willingness to learn, and respect for others

Covered textbook (text provided by AHS):  Book socks are recommended!

Loose leaf paper, graph paper

WHITE 1-2 inch binder with set of 5 index dividers

Pencils, red pens, erasers, highlighters

Calculator-TI 30 or 34II are recommended

(No graphing calculators permitted—leave them at home!)

Use at home:

In addition to the above materials you need to have a ruler with standard and metric measurement, graph paper, protractor, and compass at home.  Do not bring these items to school.  AHS will provide a class set of rulers, compasses, and protractors for our use while at school as long as we treat them with respect.  Markers and colored pencils are also provided by Ms. E. Thompson for your use at school—we use the colored pencils for some graphing labs.

I have a limited number of calculators to loan out for a class period.  You may rent them from me with $1—non-refundable, and an AHS ID.  If you leave the room without returning the calculator then I will keep your ID until my calculator, or a new replacement, has been returned to me. The calculators were not purchased by AHS and are my private, personal property.

Extra texts may be borrowed for a class period for a non-refundable fee of $5 and collateral.  The only collateral I will accept is your AHS ID, or your shut off cell phone.  The texts may not be taken out of room 302.
