This course will provide the students with a better understanding in the following areas: basic economic principles, preparing for consumer choices, money management, building financial security, becoming a smart shopper and making sound spending decisions.  Upon completion of this course, students should have the ability to make informed economic decisions and understand the impact of those decisions on the economy and on their personal finances.

This course provides instruction in the theory and practice of double-entry accounting and preparation of financial statements. The book starts with the accounting cycle in its simplest form. It then goes into the accounting cycle with a combination journal and subsidiary ledgers, payroll systems, and depreciation. Upon completion of this course, the students should have the ability to adapt to most business accounting systems.

Business Law is a class for those students who are concerned about their legal responsibilities. Course work covers rights and duties involving the student as a citizen, minor, and consumer. Our legal court system is covered as well as the various forms of contracts. A mock trial involving students is applied.
