Alleman, a Catholic high school operated by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Peoria, opened its doors in 1949.  The present enrollment is 448 students, with the majority of these students (96% of the class of 2011) going to college and 3% entering the military.

To meet the academic needs of these students, Alleman’s curriculum is predominantly college preparatory.  The curriculum includes honors, regular and modified level courses that strive to meet students’ individual needs.  A wide variety of upper division electives are offered in both the humanities and sciences.

The graduation requirements of Alleman High School are compatible with the entrance requirements at Illinois State Universities.  Students are responsible for determining all prerequisites necessary for admissions to other colleges of their choice.
