The following 4-point �A� scale is used at Alleman to compute grades:

A+	=	99 - 100	=	4.33
A	=	95 - 98	=	4.00
A-	=	93 - 94	=	3.66
B+	=	91 - 92	=	3.33
B	=	87 - 90	=	3.00
B-	=	85 - 86	=	2.66
C+	=	83 - 84	=	2.33
C	=	79 - 82	=	2.00
C-	=	77 - 78	=	1.66
D+	=	75 - 76	=	1.33
D	=	72 - 74	=	1.00
D-	=	70 - 71	=	0.66
F	=	0 - 69	=	0

I = Incomplete
Q = Audit
X = Medical Excuse from participation

HONORS COURSES WEIGHTING

All students in honor courses are graded on a 5-point �A� scale. Each letter grade is weighted one (1) point higher than grades computed on the 4-point scale. These courses are designated on transcripts by (H).

CLASS RANK AND GRADE POINT AVERAGE

All students are ranked at the end of each semester. The ranking is cumulative. Class rank is determined by ranking each student on all grades for each semester. All academic courses are included in the grade point average, with the exception of driver�s education and P.E. The median GPA of the class of 2006 was 3.21.

ADVANCED PLACEMENT

In the past 23 years, 332 out of 505 total candidates have qualified for college credit and/or advanced placement in the areas of English, calculus, United States History, biology, computer and foreign language.
