Academics: Counseling: Parents of Teenagers Support Group:
 
The Parents of Teenagers Support Group, a collaborative effort by the Young Offenders' Program of the Davenport Police Department and the Runaway Counseling Program of Lutheran Social Service of Iowa, is beginning a special series based on the "Active Parenting of Teens" model, developed by Michael Popkin, PhD.

This six session group will use a combination of video clips, discussion and some at-home practice to assist parents in understanding, disciplining and communicating with their teens.  All meetings are held at the Lutheran Social Service of Iowa office (111 W 15th Street, Davenport) beginning at 7p.m.  There is no cost to attend the meetings.

May 23 - Responsibility and Discipline
June 6 - Cooperation and Communication
June 20 - The Problem-Solving Family in Action
