Alleman High School - Christian Service
Academics: Religion: Christian Service Program:

All students are required to perform at least 20 service hours each year. Students are encouraged to integrate the message and mission of Jesus Christ into their own lives by sharing the gifts that have been given to them through serving others at school or in the community. Service hours are to encompass the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy.

Freshmen and Sophomore year service hours may be done at school, at church, in your community, or with a service organization.

Some Possible Freshman/Sophomore Service Projects include:

  • Helping at Mass: Reader, Usher, Altar Server, Choir member

  • Helping at church: mailings, child care during Mass, food pantry, soup kitchen, help with CCD classes

  • Assist teachers at the partner schools: Jordan, Seton, Our Lady of Grace

  • Assist at Alleman: mailings, help a teacher, Office Runner, Library Aide

  • Help with Student Hunger Drive

  • Additional community activities: visits to elderly neighbors, to those in nursing homes or the hospital.  Help elderly or sick neighbors with yard work or snow removal free of charge.  Baby-sit free of charge (other than family)
