Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
On May 25, sixty-four graduates walked across the stage at Centennial Hall on the campus of Augustana college — the newest alumni of Alleman Catholic High School! Each year, our Alleman students continue to excel in academics, further distinguishing Alleman as a respected Preparatory high school in the Quad City community. We are honored to announce that the class of 2025 earned an amazing, combined total of over $8.5 million in scholarship award money. This is an impressive accomplishment for a class of 64 students!
ANDREW AMACHER, SALUTATORIAN
Andrew Amacher is an Illinois State Scholar and an Eagle Scout. He is a Junior Rotarian, a member of the National Honor Society and competed on the 2024, and 2025 ACES and ICTM academic teams. As a four-year basketball team member, he received the Western Big 6 All-Academic Award and the IHSA Scholastic Achievement Award. Andrew was honored at the Rock Island Rotary for Academic Achievement and also received the President’s Education Outstanding Academic Excellence Award. In the fall, he will be attending Iowa State University where he received the Academic Achievement Award, the Expedition, Generation’s and the LAS Dean’s Academic Excellence Awards. He plans to major in meteorology. His parents are Anne Marie and Bryce Amacher.
VALEDICTORIAN GRETCHEN ELLIS
Gretchen was a Junior Rotarian, a John O’Connor Scholar, a National Honor Society Member, and was honored on the Principal’s List all four years. She received the President’s Education Outstanding Academic Excellence Award and was honored by the Rock Island Rotary with an Academic Achievement Award. In 2024, she was on the ICTM Regional and State Math Team and, in 2025, was a member of the Regional, Sectional, and State ACES team.
As a 4-year starting varsity soccer player, she earned the honor of Western Big 6 All-Academic for the Spring. She will attend Northern Michigan University in the Fall, where she earned a Bridge Award, Wildcat Merit Scholarship, NMU Scholars Competition Award, and an athletic scholarship where she will play on the NMU women’s soccer team. She plans to major in Biochemistry with a pre-dentistry focus. Gretchen’s parents are Margie and David Ellis.
